The long distance jacket keeps dogs warm even in the most extreme weather conditions and can be worn both during active use and when resting. This coat has continually evolved over the years thanks to input from some of the best mushers in the world. The outer shell is made from a durable ripstop material that is windproof and waterproof. A thick layer of synthetic thermal insulation helps the dog stay warm while saving energy. The inner lining is made of a smooth ripstop that is comfortable for the dog's coat and easy to keep clean.

The long distance jacket is easy to put on and take off, even when the dog is harnessed. Two sturdy Velcro fasteners under the chest and waist ensure a good fit. As the name suggests, this dog coat has been particularly developed for long-distance racing. The jacket provides exceptional insulation to the chest, shoulders, thighs and around the waist. An optional cover can be installed to protect the male genitals. A reflective loop on the neck shows the dog's movement when it is dark. There is a Velcro loop on the back that can be looped around the pull cord; this keeps the jacket in place even when it is windy.
