Easiest handling
LEUCHTIE is only worn over the head and switches on automatically using a sensor when the battery part is pointing downwards. If the battery part is on top, it will go off after about 1 minute.

Expert tip:
The robust NiMH batteries have no memory effect. Therefore, charge the batteries as early as possible (after approx. 10 - 15 hours of lighting time) overnight until the green LED on the charging station starts to light up.
This has the following advantages:

- Maximum lighting duration thanks to full batteries, even on long tours and missions
- shorter loading times
- longer battery life (no deep discharging)

HOW TO DETERMINE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR YOUR DOG
LEUCHTIE is pulled over the head as a closed ring. Therefore, it is not the neck circumference, but the head circumference that is crucial!
The LEUCHTIE size corresponds to the closely measured circumference of the dog's head at the thickest part, i.e. just before the ears.
The correct size can be determined very easily:
Measure the circumference of your dog's head at the thickest part - directly in front of the ears - with a tape measure.
If you don't have a tape measure to hand, please use a thread or something similar to measure using a ruler.
Please measure closely.
Select the closest size. If you are between two sizes, round down rather than up.

We have been producing LEUCHTIEs completely by hand in our small factory in Weiden, Bavaria, since 2003. For this we use self-developed, highly specialized tools.
We place the highest demands not only on the production, but also on the materials used: Almost all parts used are custom-made products developed together with our regional suppliers.
Our goal has always been the safety of dogs and our fellow human beings. To ensure this, we make them reliably visible in the dark from all sides and over long distances.
And so LEUCHTIE has stood for light collars of the highest quality and functionality since 2003.
Since then, we have been constantly developing it further with our dogs and in collaboration with rescue dog teams - in practice, not at our desk.
